DNAs and Growth Groups
Small Groups for Spiritual formation
We meet regularly in small groups to help each other to follow Jesus thoughtfully and courageously.
Different models of small group suit different people and life stages. A growth group is a group of 8-12 people with leaders that usually meets one night of the week. A DNA (Discover, Nurture, Act) group is a small, self-directed group of 3-5 people who gather weekly or fortnightly, sometimes in the morning or during the day. Regardless of model, we read the Bible together and help each other apply it to our lives.
Our team will works with members our community to help find a group that is a good fit.

Small Groups for Tertiary Students
BAFFLD is a Bible study group designed for those in their first two years after high school. We meet every Tuesday evening during the university semester to explore key topics relevant to this stage of life.
BAFFLD stands for Bible, Adulthood, Family, Formation, and Life Decisions, and reflects our focus on navigating life’s big questions from a biblical perspective. Each week, we hear from various members of Barneys on a wide range of topics, including how to read the Bible, building adult friendships, and more. We also spend dedicated time in small groups to study the Bible together.
For those who can’t make it on Tuesdays, we host a monthly dinner after the evening service on Sundays. These gatherings include a talk, followed by time for Q&A and discussion.
