A Christian residential community for undergraduate tertiary students

Barneys Student Residences consist of two welcoming student accommodation communities located in Glebe, associated with St Barnabas Anglican Church, Broadway. Our vision is to support undergraduate tertiary students who are new to Sydney by helping them form lasting friendships, grow in faith and joy, and become equipped to serve God’s kingdom with purpose and confidence.

Only five minutes from Sydney University, a short walk to UTS and Notre Dame, and close to Central Station, we offer two convenient student accommodation locations in the heart of Glebe.

Students living in Barneys residences are obliged to abide by our Residential Agreement, Policies and Community Rules.

The Director of Student Residences is here to help students settle in and adjust to life in Sydney. From your first day, she offers a welcoming presence and ongoing support to ensure you feel at home.

Her role includes: One-on-one check-ins with each student to offer guidance and address any concerns; as well as pastoral care that nurtures emotional and spiritual wellbeing

Whether you’re navigating university life or simply need someone to talk to, the Director is a trusted resource and caring presence throughout your time at Arundel House or the Terraces.

Application process:

  1. Click the button below to register and fill in the application form
  2. Interviews will be conducted from September, look out for an email inviting you to choose a time.
  3. After your interview we may contact your referees before making a decision.
  4. First round offers will be made in October
  5. Successful applicants will be required to pay an acceptance fee and/or security deposit and complete a Residential Agreement.

Costs:

Our rooms vary in price depending on size, location, privacy and amenities.

Weekly rates range from $325 to $525.

Other fees include a $500 per semester amenities fee, refundable security deposit and an acceptance fee.
