Jesus & Friends (in that order)
These are the two things Barneys Youth loves the most.
Barneys Youth provides an opportunity for high schoolers to explore faith in Jesus, ask real questions, and think hard about the issues facing young people.
Barneys Youth is a community of young people that loves fun adventures, life in the city and genuine friendship. Everyone is welcome.
We meet early on Friday evenings.
New to Barneys Youth?
Friday Night Youth is for Students in Yr 6 to Yr 12
4 – 7 pm (Including Dinner)
The church building is open for youth to come and hang out from 4 pm (Entry via Mountain St).
If you go to school in the city, live in the city or just love the city, Barneys Youth is for you. But we understand that getting about in the city can be challenging, especially if you or your friends live further out, or if your parents are dropping you off.
To make getting to Barneys Youth easier the church is open from 4 pm with spaces to kick a football, do homework, eat some arvo-tea or just chat. Many of our youth come straight from school so there are plenty of different school uniforms at Barneys Youth!
At 5 pm we kick off officially with an activity together.
After some activity fun, we continue to enjoy hanging out, exploring some challenging and relevant Bible teaching. At the end of the night, we eat a meal together and finish up at 7 pm.
6th-10th of July 2020
Barneys Youth has one major camp each year; Barneys Youth Winter Camp in the July school holidays.
Winter Camp is a great time away for building our relationships with each other and Jesus. We spend time enjoying eclectic activities, home cooked food, the beautiful mountainside venue, hanging out, and exploring the life-changing message of Jesus.
Everyone is welcome, year 6-12 (or equivalent). In fact, many youth join us at camp for their first experience of Barneys Youth.
Barneys Winter Camp has something for everyone. For more info get in touch with Toby Knights.
Our Leaders & Safe Ministry
Barneys Youth is a place for young people to work out what it means to live for Jesus. It’s a place to raise issues under the guidance and care of a leadership team committed to Jesus and the wellbeing of young people.
All Youth leaders complete Safe Ministry training through the Sydney Anglican Profesional Standards Unit and have a current NSW Working with Children Check number.
We charge a small amount for Barneys Youth on Friday to cover the costs of food (dinner and supper) and activities.
Fridays: $35 per term
For your convenience, you can pay for the whole year and save $10.
