Evening Congregation

The evening congregation is a lively gathering of workers, university students, and high school students. At the service you will find people who are keen to meet with God as they sing, pray, and listen to his word. The 6:30pm service seeks to help people, regardless of where they are at on their spiritual journey, and move them forward to a greater understanding of who God is. Lively music, friendly people, and social diversity all mark this congregation.

The evening service is at 6:30pm on Sundays. The service runs for approximately 80 minutes, and is followed by community time with supper.

We meet at Cnr Mountain St & Broadway, Broadway.

Uni Students

Barneys has a long tradition as a church supportive of tertiary students.  There are stacks of options and events for tertiary students at Barneys.

Workers

Network is a ministry of the 6:30 service for workers, those of worker age and those looking for work. Network runs regular dinners before the service at a local restaurant.

High School Students

Youth Group for high school students meets from 4:30pm before the 6:30pm service.

Sunday Serving Rosters

The 6:30pm Service needs around 30 volunteers each week! Each person who helps in various parts of the service, like ushering and supper, helps all of us enjoy our time together.

Rosters for these jobs are made three times per year (for March-June, July-October and November-February). Sign up to help at the 6:30pm Service during the 4 weeks prior to the start of the roster. Please consider volunteering - we need your help!
