In our world today, women and children make up 70% of those who live in abject poverty. Of individuals held in slavery in impoverished countries, 80% are female and 50% are children. Trafficking of women is the second largest global organised crime today.
We have a God-given responsibility to care for our sisters in need.
At the Barneys Women's Conference this year, we want to have the courage to hear about the great challenges facing our sisters in the world and, under God, to see that we can do something about it.

Soles for Souls
The shoe donation
At our conference, we want to do something really practical to help those in need and se we invite you to bring a shoe donation.
We are looking for gently worn shoes or almost new ones that are comfy (no high heels). A pair of socks are also good to help avoid blisters. Kids shoes are great too. No shabby or dirty shoes - they are to be a gift to those who are poor and do not have shoes!
